Annual Scarecrow Festival at Enchanted Forest

If you’ve never attended this event before, now is the time to check it off your fall to-do list! It’s one of our most popular family events every year. We provide the supplies you need to make a festive scarecrow friend for your yard–all you need to bring with you are the clothes for him or her to wear. A scarecrow’s gotta have his gardener’s get-up too!

Landscaping with Edibles with Scott Snodgrass at Enchanted Forest

Following the current trend of growing your own food, people in the Houston area are exploring creative ways to pack more food-producing plants onto their property. Edible landscaping is one of the most effective ways of producing a significant amount of food right outside your door. This class covers The Edible Myth, thoughtful landscape planning, consideration of natural energies (sunlight, wind, water, temperature, etc), & some simple substitutions for existing landscapes.

 

***Following seminar we will have an opportunity for kids to plant a Grow Your Own lettuce bowl. Cost will be $15.00

Pumpkin Palooza

Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

10am – 2pm at both locations

Bring your kids and your cameras – it’s pumpkin pickin’ time! Pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colors have arrived to celebrate our favorite time of year. Bring your family and friends to pick the perfect pumpkin (or several) while enjoying a few fall festivities. Live music, a pumpkin craft for kids and refreshments. Dress in your fall colors–there will be plenty of photo opportunities!

Fairy Garden Workshop at Enchanted Forest

Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

 

10 am – 2pm 

Tiny things spark the imaginations of grown ups and kids alike, so fairy gardening is a perfect hobby to give you a break from daily stress or to enjoy some magic with your children or grandchildren.  At this great workshop, you’ll design your very own fairy garden to enjoy indoors or out with assistance from our talented design team in a fun and casual environment.   Plant your garden and leave the mess here.

Cost: $10.00 + materials

Soil and moss are included in workshop fee.  Bring your own container or purchase one at the store.  No outside plants or fairy accessories, please.
